The fantastic news from the historic circuit of Imola in Northern Italy is that HRC’s Tim Gajser is the new MXGP World Champion.
The 22 year old Slovenian took his CR450RW to third overall, with a fourth and second in the two races respectively. Tim adds his third world title to his two previous championship wins in 2015 and 2016, making him a three time Honda World Champion.
HRC also saw success in the MX2 class as Calvin Vlaanderen battled hard to finish the day in fifth overall. Meanwhile, Team Honda RedMoto Assomotor’s Mathys Boisrame went 5 – 15 to finish in 9th overall adding 22 points to his GP account.
