Round seven of the 2019 World Motocross Championship visited the challenging hillside circuit of Saint-Jean-d’Angély in the Nouvelle-Aquitaine region of South-West France. Team HRC’s Tim Gajser continued his recent domination of the MXGP class with a double race win. Frenchman Stephen Rubini also took his Team Honda RedMoto Assomotor CRF250R to an overall win in the EMX250 class and solid MX2 performances from Honda 114 Motorsports Mitch Evans and Zach Pichon kept the French fans happy.
The MX2 class saw Honda 114 Motorsports Mitch Evans continued his on-form results, battling his way through the pack in both races to secure fourth overall and 32 valuable championship points. Teammate Zach Pichon had his best MX2 result of the season, finishing in 12th overall. The Frenchman worked hard during the qualifying sessions to find the best bike setup and was very happy with his performance at his home GP.
