Enduro Italian Championship
Round #05 | Castelli Calepio (BG)

It was another exciting Sunday for Honda RedMoto World Enduro Team with the fifth round of the Enduro Italian Championship.
The race was held in Castelli Calepio, near Bergamo and organised by the Moto Club Lago d’Iseo, it had a route of 65 km to be repeated three times with three special tests: first the extreme, then the cross and finally the enduro.

It was third best time in the Overall for Theo Espinasse and second between the foreigners. Due to the progress made in recent weeks with the team, the French rider won the extreme twice, setting excellent lap times in the other special test.

There was an excellent performance from Thomas Oldrati, he was winner of the 450 4T class despite his recent injury which occurred just three weeks ago during the fourth round of the Italian Championship. He ruled in all the special tests, getting sixth position in the Overall.

Roni Kytonen finished close to the top ten with an eleventh place in the foreigner’s standing. Unfortunately, some mistakes cost him and he finished in 24th Overall.

The Honda RedMoto World Enduro Team will be back on track in Portugal from 18th to 20th June with the first and second round of the Enduro World Championship.

Thomas Oldrati

"I’m really happy because I didn't think I could achieve this result just three weeks after the injury. The first idea was to come back for the World Championship: I decided to race just last week and I’m surprised and proud of myself. The race was tough and I struggled on the last lap, but I’m satisfied. I really wanted to race in the race in Bergamo, even though my shoulder was still hurting".

"I'm very satisfied with Espinasse. He got an incredible final position and finally found a great feeling with his bike. Amazing day for Thomas, who achieved a great result despite the injury. Positive Kytonen, who race some good special test. All the riders fought until the very end for the top positions of the Overall and this is a clear sign that we worked well in these last weeks. Now let's think about the World Championship!”.
