There has been no rest for Honda’s World Enduro teams, as they head straight from Greece to Italy, for their home round in Rovetta, near Bergamo.

Thomas Oldrati (Honda Racing RedMoto World Enduro Team) is back to Bergamo from Greece after the amazing double podium in the E1 class and the third step of the podium in EnduroGP, while team mate Christophe Charlier ruled the E2 class.

The Honda RedMoto Lunigiana Team will also be looking for great results at home with Davide Guarneri aboard the Honda-RedMoto CRF 250RX Enduro in the hard-fought E1 class and Davide Soreca in the E2 class with the new Honda-RedMoto CRF 300RX.

Alex Salvini (Team S2 Motorsport Sembenini Honda-RedMoto) faces the challenge of racing less than seven days after dislocating his right shoulder. Despite this, he is ready to push in front of the home crowd, fans and enduro lovers – and of course hold on to his championship lead.

The riders and team will face a race with a huge number of fans all over the four different special tests, organised by the Moto Club Bergamo, which this year celebrates its 100th anniversary.

The Italian Grand Prix will start in the late afternoon of Friday with the Supertest, while on Saturday the race will start at 9am local time.

This will be my first Valli Bergamasche. The goal is to get a good result in front of all our supporters and repeat the good performance of last Sunday in Greece. I’m happy with the work done so far because we have proved to be very competitive.

It’s a great emotion race the Valli Bergamasche. My last time was in 2015: I will give my best despite I’m not in the best shape and the level of my adversaries is high. It will be a fantastic experience thanks to the presence of many fans. Thank you to Matteo Boffelli, Honda-RedMoto staff and Honda Racing RedMoto World Enduro Team for this opportunity.

I’m satisfied with the results got in Greece because they are a confirmation of our commitment in the racing department. In Rovetta we expect a great participation of fans and I hope to let them experience the emotions that link Honda-RedMoto to enduro. On this occasion there will also be the official RedMoto hospitality to welcome partners, friends, fans and sponsors. I don’t want make any predictions, but we will do our best to get on the podium.

In Greece I got three times the best time in the Cross Test, while in the other tests I unfortunately suffered from a lack of training due to physical problems that for some weeks prevent me from training. I’m very motivated for my first Valli Bergamasche and I hope to get on the home podium. Thank you to Gianni Belloni and all the team for the support.

In the home GP it will be important to get a good result: the injuries at the beginning of the season have unfortunately affected my performance. I will do my best to do well even if in the E2 class the competitiveness is really high.

We are very motivated for the home race! I take this opportunity to thank all the Honda-RedMoto staff for the support, as well as all our sponsors and technical partners. We worked well to face this Valli Bergamasche: now it's up to the riders to get those results that are certainly within our reach.

I'll do my best to have a good race even if I'dd deal with my right shoulder. The podium is certainly the main goal as we have the right stuff and in Greece we were very competitive too. We can't wait to get on track: this is our home race and we really want to do well.
