In the EnduroGP of Portugal, Giacomo Redondi confirmed his superiority with the Honda-RedMoto 450R Enduro this weekend with another pair of wins in the EJ class.
Held in Gouveia, the race was characterised by the weather, with heavy rain that made the 55km route even more challenging. On Saturday the organisers stopped the race at laps two (of three), while on Sunday the route was reduced by 15km because of dangerous passages with too much mud and the high water level of the streams making them treacherous to cross.
From the Moroccan sun, to the rain of Portugal. Giacomo Redondi has had a remarkable run with the Honda Redmoto World Enduro Team, winning two days and ten special tests of sixteen.
In the E1 class it was a hard race for Alessandro Battig, who struggled with the mud. In E2, on Saturday Davide Guarneri was forced to the withdraw because of the painful contusion suffered after a fall, while on Sunday he finished eighth, improving the pace in the last part of the race. In the EJ class, David Soreca scored a tenth and an eighth position, missing out on the top five after a couple of falls.
The next race for the Honda RedMoto World Enduro Team is the third round of the Italian Enduro Championship, scheduled on May 8th in Pievebogliana (MC).
