This weekend saw the Honda RedMoto World Enduro Team take five victories in their debut at the Italian Enduro Championship.

An amazing start to the championship saw Davide Guarneri take two victories in the E2 class, while Giacomo Redondi dominated the EJ class and Alessandro Battig took the E1 class victory on day one.

Davide Soreca continued the CRF success with two visits to the podium; third on day one and second on day two. Battig also visited the podium on day two with a third place in the E1 class.

The next round of the Italian Enduro Championship will be held in Pietramontecorvino (5th-6th March).

“On Saturday I got my first victory in this new season. On Sunday I started quite well but unfortunately I made some mistakes in the cross test and on the sand, so I finished third by just one second”.

“This was not a real enduro race, but I really liked it and I’m satisfied with my results even though on Saturday I lost the overall victory because of a fall in the cross test. I know that I have to gain experience, but I’m working hard and I’m very motivated to do well. On Sunday I hardly raced because of the rain but at the end I won my class, getting the second overall position too”.

“It was a positive weekend. On Saturday I made a mistake, which lost me thirty-five seconds, otherwise I would have finished fourth overall. I got it right in the night test, stepping onto the podium and getting fifth place in the overall standing. On Sunday I couldn’t race very well because of the rain, but at the end I won the EJ class”.

“I finished third on Saturday and second on Sunday. Surely it was a good beginning, but I fell too many times because I was much too excited. I’m sure that next race will be better”.

“It was a very positive debut. On Saturday there was a spectacular race, while Sunday was a bit more difficult for everyone because of the rain. It was a shame for Guarneri who lost the chance to win the overall standing because of a fall in the last cross test. It was a good race for Battig and a great performance by Redondi, who exceeded expectations. Battig suffered on Sunday, however I’m satisfied with a victory and a third place. Redondi made some mistakes, but he was fast in the special tests. Despite some uncertainties, Soreca’s performance was very positive too”.
