For 2011 Honda Motor Europe has created an all new event with the Honda Racing Xtreme Academy Nordic Challenge, which will take place on the 2nd of June in Sweden. With a massive EUR1,000 in vouchers for first place it’s going to be an exciting day for CRF150R riders in the Nordic region. Former GP star Brian Jorgensen will be on hand for a talk with riders, and the challenge consists of practice, qualifying and two heat races where youngsters from each nation can battle it out for the Nordic Challenge crown. Limited entries are available for each of Sweden, Denmark, Finland and Norway on a first come first serve basis. (Entries are available for riders from other nations also – please ask for details).

This race is solely for Honda CRF150R big wheel riders aged 12-16 and takes place right before the first round of the Swedish championship races, which any rider is also eligible to enter.

Event date: 2nd June

• Track: Annebergstrack near Gothenburg
• Club: Varbergs MK

• Format: 20 minute practice, 20 minute timed practice, 2 x heat races
• Entry fee: 250 Swedish Krona per rider (around EUR30). This can be paid online or at the track in cash. Entry deadline: is 13 days before the event when entries will be confirmed.
• Licenses: Licenses accepted from all the Nordic countries. Competition is organised in accordance with SVEMO regulations.
• Prize fund: of EUR1,750 in the form of Honda vouchers to spend at a dealership in each rider’s home country.
• Training: Brian Jorgensen will be attending the event as the Xtreme Academy official trainer.
• Riders are eligible to enter the Swedish championship race that weekend at the same track.
• Riders will receive special goodies for entering the race.
