Honda Xtreme Academy Training day in UK with Bobryshev & Gonçalves
Rev Racing is pleased to announce this year’s Honda Xtreme Academy training day, which is open to all under 23 Honda riders across the UK, at Thoresway Honda Motoparc near Caistor, Lincolnshire on the 15th of August with Grand Prix stars Evgeny Bobryshev and Rui Gonçalves.
The training event, which forms part of Honda Europe’s initiative to help young talent, will see Bobryshev and Gonçalves join former Grand Prix winner Brian Jorgensen, the Xtreme Academy trainer, at this special coaching event exclusively available to Honda riders.
Prior to the British Grand Prix the Honda World Motocross stars will make a special trip to work with the Honda youngsters, especially those riding the CRF 150R machine. The day will include lunch and is available to riders of all ages and abilities at this exclusive day at the Thoresway track, which has hardpack terrain based in a valley in Lincolnshire.
“We're really looking forward to coming to the UK again to help the young riders,” said Bobryshev.
“For me it’s really important that we help put something back into the sport, and together with Brian we enjoy working with the youths to give them some tips and to help them. The track looks really nice and I am looking forward to meeting the riders,” concluded Bobryshev.
The Honda Xtreme Academy is currently operating as a separate championship within the main national big wheel series in five countries this year, with special events in a further three nations offering many benefits to Honda riders. In the UK past Academy winners Adam Sterry and Brad Todd have gone on to race their machines successfully in the youth and adult British championships, while Josh Gilbert leads this years Xtreme championship with three rounds to go.
The first three people that confirm their entry for the day will receive a signed replica race jersey almost identical to those worn by Bobryshev and Gonçalves on the track.
